CASUAL CLASSES

To suit busy schedules and lifestyles we have a variety of casual classes, meaning students can choose from 10 different drop-in dance classes!

Casual classes are for fun, fitness, technique, strength, flexibility and more – there is something for everyone!  And the best thing about our casual classes is they don’t require bookings, or enrolments or a full 8-week commitment – you can just drop-in when it suits you!

All casual classes are are $20/class (for a one hour class).  Or for the more enthusiastic types you can purchase a 10-class card for only $150  – valid for ALL casual classes!

FREESTYLE MOVEMENT with Jaq

NOT JUST FOR POLE DANCERS!

Freestyle Movement is about the moment. The ability to spontaneously come up with movements inspired by the music selected. Music gives off a feeling, an attitude and a message.  To be able to express yourself freely with no rules.  No fundamental movements are required.

This brand new casual class will guide you to find your own raw movement and give you the ability to be free and express yourself through your own movement.

This class is for any person of any level, any genre of dance.  This is not a pole based class, and we invite everyone to come and find your freestyle movement.

Mondays 5.30pm & 8.30pm

 

STRETCH CLASSES

Everybody needs to stretch their bodies and we have two awesome casual stretch classes every week.  These are designed to stretch & lengthen all parts of your body in a gentle and effective way.

FULL BODY STRETCH with Ferri:  Tuesdays 6.30pm

SPLITZ & BACK STRETCHY GOODNESS with Lisa:  Saturdays 11.30am

 

ABS, BUTTS & LEGS

Join Lisa D, current Australian Pole Champion, for a 45 minute toning, strengthening and stretch session to whip your lower half into shape!

Our Abs, Butts and Leg muscles need to be worked!  The stronger these become the more it will benefit your dancing and overall confidence. This class is a workout and stretch intensive for these pesky areas.

Toning, strengthening and stretching will also help improve your splits!

POLE JAM – ALL LEVEL POLE PRACTISE SESSIONS

A supervised jam session, open to pole students of ALL students of all levels.  This is YOUR opportunity to practise what you have been taught so far.

Your teacher will warm you up, and then it’s your time to play with whatever you choose! There may be pesky moves you need to work on, or perhaps you’ve seen something you’d like to try. If you have a picture or a YouTube video, then this jam session is your opportunity to try it out, in a supervised and safe environment.

Meet, socialise and jam with other students from various levels, and who knows what will happen! This is a perfect way to practise your pole, try new tricks, meet other students, and take everything at your pace.

Note: This is not a taught session.  Teachers will be around to supervise, answer questions, spot a move and will ensure that you are not doing anything that is beyond your capability or skill.

No Bookings Required – Cost $10 BU students / $15 non BU students.

BURL-EXERCISE – Burlesque Dance Fitness

Join this class for an hour of high energy fitness and fun. Bump n Grind, shimmy and shake your way through a dynamic class incorporating cardio fitness with Burlesque moves and disco grooves designed to condition and tone your body while burning those calories away. A great way to improve your fitness level, get your heart rate pumping and have a good old workout filled with FUN!

All fitness levels and dance levels welcome. Beginners to Advanced. Please bring a water bottle. Wear sneakers or bare feet are fine too.

POLE’OGRAPHY (Choreography)

POLE CHOREOGRAPHY SML WEB

A casual choreography class open to students from Beginner level upwards.  This is also suitable for new Beginners. Learning pole basic spins, base-work & floor-work,  movement & choreography put together in a mini routine.  Pole’Ography is all about the dance!  You don’t require any pole experience to come along! We recommend to always bring kneepads, and heels if you have them.  Sass up your Saturday mornings and you’ll be feeling great for the whole weekend!

This class is ideal for those wanting to pole dance but unable to commit to an 8-week course. Perfect for current Pole students of any level wanting an extra weekly class with a whole lot of sass!

MYSTERY DANCE!

Friday night mystery dance sessions!  These have been designed to put some movement in your bodies early on a Friday evening to get you moving & motivated for the weekend!  Every week will showcase a different teacher with a different style of dance.  Please note there will be NO pole dance classes during these sessions.  Open to EVERY BODY, every level, every walk of life.  Stay tuned to our Facebook page early in the week to get a ‘tease’ of what the weeks class will be.  You can even win a free pass every week!

 CRAZE OF THE 80’s with Ally Cat

Oh Yes, Craze of the 80’s is back!  Think anything & everything fluro, leg-warmers, sweatbands, big hair, and massive tunes guaranteed to have you singing along.  This high intensity class is all about having fun and working up a lovely sweat! Pelvic thrusts galore.  So much funky town fun!
